Project Scope:Wildgeese Building Group Australia managed the design and construction of 20 duplexes and houses at Lot 22 Gove. The specific scope of this project related to:

Wildgeese Building Group Australia applied an innovative approach to this project through a joint venture with an organisation in Brisbane, Monarch Building Systems. This organisation provided material to a point in Queensland which was then barged to Gove in the Northern Territory. Wildgeese Building Group Australia achieved significant advantage through the management of this project as a joint venture through saving time and the reduction of personnel on site. Significant advantage was achieved through the application of this process through a capacity to reduce on-site tradespeople resulting in less accommodation and increased installation time preventing disruption by the weather.
Location: Gove, Northern Territory. Delivery of works within a remote location requiring extensive planning and management of all resource allocation.
Services: Project Management, Head Contractor, Builder
Value: $11.0 Million
Challenges: Wildgeese Building Group Australia met a number of challenges relevant to completion of this project within a remote location. Our extensive experience within the Northern Territory as a locally based company provided the structure and framework through which these challenges can be assessed and mitigated through internal and external processes. In the completion of this project Wildgeese Building Group Australia took a proactive approach to meeting this challenge through:
- Developing a joint venture with an external construction company to undertake significant elements of this construction off-site
- Utilising an innovative panel system with a range of finishes already completed before shipping
- Undertaking complete construction of wet area such as kitchens and bathrooms off-site
The use of this system prevented extensive delays due to wet weather and reduced the number of tradespeople required to complete this project. This reduction in tradespeople and materials reduced significant project level risk on transportation of materials and the impact of weather local to this region.
