Wildgeese Building Group Australia has met a number of challenges in the establishment of services in this community that
are directly relevant to this project.

These challenges are characterised by:

Ngukurr Store

  • Transportation of materials to site
  • Establishment of relationships with key stakeholders
  • Initial negotiation for the employment of Indigenous staff
  • Establishment on a project schedule and timeframes
  • Establishment of a camp with associated infrastructure including power, water and sewage
  • Storage of materials on site
  • Implementation of safety and quality measures
  • Engagement of local businesses and supplier.

Meeting the above challenges clearly demonstrates our capacity to deliver construction projects within this particular community.  Our success in establishing project infrastructure, working closely with council representatives and other stakeholders clearly indicates our ability to implement project schedules and structures relevant to remote Indigenous communities.

Outcomes:
This project demonstrates our diversity of skills in implementing commercial construction projects within remote Indigenous communities.  We have demonstrated a capacity to transfer organisational capability from housing projects through to the construction of a store and petrol station.

Benefit:
Wildgeese Building Group Australia demonstrates through the achievement of outcomes as indicated in the above challenges a proven successful ability to implement a construction schedule within this community.  Our relationships with local community members, cultural representatives and key infrastructure stakeholders are directly transferable to this project and provide the capability to quickly and efficiently achieve milestones relevant to timeframes, community expectations, employment opportunities and quality/safety outcomes.
